[/quote] The case highlighted in the article you provided involved payout for unused vacation days at termination. That is an entirely different issue and something that varies somewhat by state. There is nothing illegal about an employer not allowing an employee to take a vacation at a certain time, nor would it be illegal for an employer to say that vacation had to be used at a certain time (such as the summer) as long as it was clearly outlined in the policies.[/quote]
