I am worried, no question about it. But the thing is this: chances in 2020 were going to be less favorable, not more favorable for the Democrats, had Hillary won. Looking at historical data, in the modern period never has one political party held the Presidency for 16 consecutive years. Would the Republican Senate have appointed Scalia replacement and/or other SC judges as they died off or simply refused to do so till 2020? Not sure. And for sure, 2018 would have been worse for Democrats had Hillary won, so Senate would have been even more conservative. More here: http://thefederalist.com/2014/09/04/history-is-not-on-the-democrats-side-in-2016/ Who knows, maybe these oldies will stick around till 2020 (make that 2019- we can pull a Garland and let "the new president decide"), and then maybe Democrats have a shot at winning in 2020, and appoint someone they like. Also, let's say we get a Super Duper Conservative Court. Let's say the overturn RvW... ...that could be the end of the evil alliance between GOP and Evangelicals. A lot of single issue pro-life voters might feel free to explore other options. OR seeing their rights in jeopardy in the Red States, women who are fiscally conservative but socially liberal might feel compelled to now vote for Democrats. For every action, there is a reaction. A more Conservative SCOTUS will cause "action" to flourish in other places, like States and Federal Legislature, etc.
