Here is a good way to persuade people that you're right and you know what you're talking about:  "The Race to the Top grants require states to adopt the Common Core standards. Look here on p. x of this link [link goes here], where it says, "[whatever]"."

Here is a bad way to persuade people: "The Race to the Top grants require states to adopt the Common Core standards. I refuse to supply any evidence to support my point. You can go look for it yourself."[/quote]
