If only the Palestinian children's lives could have been saved by releasing the hostages and Hamas's surrender. That could have happened on October 8. Every one of those children's lives would have been saved.
No it couldn’t unless Israel gave up the Palestinian prisoners Hamas was asking for in exchange which Israel quietly did anyway. The war makes no sense at this moment because Israel avenged by tally count a long long time ago. The war is just Bibi’s way to avoid jail time or death for himself because his own cabinet ministers call for removing Bibi “by force” if he stops the war. Bibi is more scared of his own aides and the Israeli people /left wing and Supreme Court than he is of hamas
And that has what to do with how to run a city in America? New Yorkers are being asked to elect a mayor - you know, snow plows on the street after a storm, schools, public safety, that kind of thing. Absolutely no one besides progressives wants a city administrator who is fixated on some conflict a gazillion miles away. I really don't think a young Gaza activist is winning Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn, or the Bronx. The trust fund children in Manhattan are not a majority in NYC. And New Yorkers have been perfectly content to vote for Republicans like Bloomberg or the pre-drunk Giuliani for mayor when Democrats offered nothing better. And those were successful multi-term mayorships. Mamdani is not a serious man. He's a 34 year old Manhattanite who's never had a real job in his life. The TikTok pablum might be exciting for young progressives who are fixated on Gaza or trans issues or whatever, but that is not something working and middle class voters in NYC care about. If I had to bet, I think Mayor Adams is going to win again, even if he spends the next four years taking human growth supplements and hanging out in night clubs. Once again, Democrats offered terrible candidates - a disgraced serial sexual harasser or some far left young thing with no practical experience in anything. It's a problem. Until Democrats get decent candidates that can speak to working and middle class people over the age of 25, they are going to continue to have a hard time, even in NYC.
