His mom was pretty vulnerable too. She had dealt with a lot of childhood trauma, sexual abuse and her sister was killed in an accident. She spent most of her teen years deep in drug addiction and she dealt drugs and stole to get by. Although she had gotten sober and was in a better place by the time Justin was discovered, I am sure she desperately wanted to give him a life that went down a very different road than her own and for him to have successes she didn't have. I doubt at the time she had any idea she was sending him into the lion's den. [/quote]
