Abortion isn't "central" to Judaism nor a "Jewish thing" - what is however a long-held, strongly held Jewish belief is that life begins at birth, not at conception.  It is wrong, un-Constitutional and un-American that one religious doctrine should be allowed to trample another.[/quote]

Nobody FORCED anyone to have an abortion. A Christian could live a happy Christian life and choose to never have an abortion. Christians right now are FORCING everyone else in society to not be able to have an abortion for no other reason than the fact that Christians don’t like it. So pro-choice just means that the decision rests with the woman and now you’re taking that decision away from her and putting it in the hands of government and other  people.  How does this make sense in a beacon if democracy and individual freedom?  Very anti-American!  This is socialism:  few deciding what’s good for the rest of us.

I trust my own judgment and my decisions.  I’m not a child.  I work, pay taxes, contribute to my community and so why do you think you know better than me what’s  good for me?  You make your choices and I’ll make my own.  I’m not condemning your choices so what’s your problem in allowing people to own their own choices?[/quote]
