The reality is that it’s not fun for either team (strong vs weak) to play each other.

If you look at the top teams in Region they’ve all beaten teams by almost 20 pts.

Battlefield vs OP 21-0
Madison vs WL 21-1
Robinson vs Landstown 21-0
West Springfield vs Lewis 19-0
Cosby vs Thomas Dale 21-0

So to answer your question to if there’s any reason to beat a team by a high margin I’m pretty sure the losing team would prefer the other team to not hold ball and play monkey in the middle for the entire game. I’ll defend coaches on this one.

My kid plays on one of the losing teams listed above. We knew that it was going to be a very lopsided victory for the other team. That said, there *were* some goals scored at the end that were unnecessary and I wish the other team would have held off. That said, I totally get that some girls who don’t score very often probably wanted to get some goals. I don’t know - I understand both perspectives. [/quote]
