SJC’s time is over after Monday. They are carried by those seniors and will lose half of their starters to graduation with little depth developed.
GC is carried by their seniors. What are talking about?
GC is done after tomorrow. St. John’s still has games to play. Get it together.
Done as in SJC will be nowhere near as good after this year once their 6 seniors graduate. They completely carry that team and do the bulk of the scoring. GC starts 2 seniors and the 2nd leading scorer after the NW commit is a sophomore. GC started 2 freshmen and 5 sophomores last night.
SJC will be fine they have girls that would start at Ireton, PVI, SSS, etc.... that don't get a ton of minutes because those seniors are so good.
You mean the ones that played in the JV game vs GC and lost? Not changing into a JV uniform made them stick out.
No not them. 2 Junior commits #9 #12 (one out w/ ACL Injury) Junior #5 and Sophomore #16
1 of those already starts so your point is invalid and I doubt she would be back in time. You need 6 new players. And the other 3 are not close to the level of the current seniors that do start.
SJC in a good place actually. Sophomore attacker plays at a very high level and will get better. Strong freshman class coming in. SJC may not be quite at this level next year, but will be fine over the next several years and compete for WCAC titles.
Crazy talk. Other than GC who in the WCAC is trending up? PVI is a shell of what it was last year and trending down, The Ireton talent shelf is bare and must be praying to hit gold in the transfer portal. If not then they have one year left before McNamara is a competitive game. Over the next two to three years it is GC hands down with STJ doing what it can to stay competitive. Stj has inclusive enough academic standards and enough desks that they could reload quickly but don’t bet on it and even if they did, Stj is still a 6 point underdog to GC for the next decade. Fact is the only real high level lacrosse in the dc area will be in MD and DC. Sorry Potomac …your It’s Academic lax team will go down as the best class to never win anything. Saints? Get real, that program is on borrowed time. Next year they will be lucky to host a playoff game in either the ISL or VISSA. The only programs that will merit any attention will be GC SR and VISI, with STJ being the best of the wannabes.
So acerbic. If you are a GC dad, why so mad? #1 team in the country. Might as well be gracious about it. No one is arguing the point that GC is the favorite for the next year or two, but "for the next decade..." is definitely the winner for overreaching comment of the day. You must have lots of intel on those 2030-2034 classes headed to GC. MoCo 2nd graders must be lighting it up. Also, your post kind of made my point on SJC, as opposed to exposing "crazy talk". If I'm a Cadet, I'm happy to be grouped in a tier with GC, SR, and VISI--all have been top 20 teams this year or in recent years; nothing wrong with that at all. Would also be proud to be sending 3 starting middies to the Ivy League and a defender to Amherst this year. And if I was a Potomac parent or player, I would feel good about being competitive with these teams while upholding the highest academic standards of the group, especially with only 40 girls or so per class. Was "It's Academic" supposed to be some kind of dig? That's a compliment for anyone with a clue. I would also offer that the Saints will be pretty good next year, with key players back from injury, and rising 10th and 11th graders who got a lot of time this year. Visi will be tough again in 2025, but seems likes its more of a program on borrowed time than SSAS. But enjoy your angry hot takes...
