You are missing the point.  Tryouts in early May when seasons end in June.  Everyone is already checked out long before.  Next year is all anyone on this board talks about come January.[/quote]

Happened to our team last year. We didn't win as much as anticipated by certain parents. They weren't happy with it and that lead to their child not being happy...3 players were totally checked out by mid-April. They quit on their team.
At this point those parents and their players were toxic to the entire team. Some couldn't wait for them to leave the club.
Note to parents out there: Your kid isn't going to be great at anything if she/he don't learn to deal with adversity.
Fast forward to this year...the team is doing well and the ones that left, well you can guess...

Don't understand why someone would do this? They wouldn't get their money back nor find another team so why not just finish the season? And 3 players? Are they the top players in the team?[/quote]

PP here. I meant they figuratively quit on the team. They were not the best players on the team.[/quote]
