Liman granted Gottlieb an emergency hearing tonight at 5:30. https://x.com/innercitypress/status/1945598664140816556
Biased. biased. biased.
Seriously, it’s beyond parody at this point.
And by that, I mean Liman offering Gottlieb multiple more amended complaints against Wallace when Baldoni got none far earlier in the case, and Gottolieb has failed in multiple briefs to establish any basis for jurisdiction over Wallace.
I mean YMMV but Baldoni did get chances to amend some claims and plenty of warning that Liman felt they had sufficient notice of the deficiencies on his major claims. That's on his lawyers. But yes, it is pretty funny how Liman has all these suggestions to help Gottlieb, like letting him file a fake complaint to get Wallace back in the case tonight. At one point he asks Babcock if he objects to just vacating the order dismissing Wallace! And Wallace is like... uh, yes? And it is all so the princess doesn't have to potentially sit for another short deposition by Wallace's attorneys if their claims come back. Which I get the judge said everyone will do only one and that is very valid as far as not allowing Wayfarer's side to play games with document production, but this situation is caused by the judge choosing to drop this order today... A side issue seems to be that the deposition is only 7 hours and this would eat into the time Wayfarer's lawyers have with her, since Wallace's attorney wants an hour with her, which will be a waste if it turns out he's not a party anymore.
