What about David's daughter who always seems to be around?  He seems to like her.  I feel bad for Kaiser.  Nobody seems to like him in Janelle's house. And I feel bad for Jace - MTV edits heavily, but there have been hints that he has some very serious mental problems. [/quote]
I think David is probably stern/has a heavy hand with Marisa because that is how he thinks children need to be reared. I think his abuse of Kaiser is purely because Kaiser is Nathan’s son and he looks so much like him. [/quote]

+1000 I think Kaiser is a constant reminder of Nathan and the role he played in Jenelle's life and THAT is why Kaiser takes the brunt of it. That poor little boy has no one stable to stand up for him. Plus, Jace is old enough to tell Barb, so I don't think he gets abused as much.  [/quote]
