Obama put kids in cages and deported a lot of people, most of whom didn’t have criminal records. Bill Clinton worked with Newt Gingrich to dramatically cut welfare programs. Where was your outrage and hyperbole then or is it only “starving children” and “concentration camps” when people with an R alongside their names are doing it?

And why is that? The argument is always that these policies are so outlandish, they could never work. Except we know that isn't true. Most developed nations have made them work. It's only America that can't seem to figure it out. We can't very well continue to claim American exceptionalism if we can't at a minimum meet the basic needs of our citizens, when every other Western democracy can. [/quote]
