Some expert on cnn earlier noted a recent NYT story that never gained any traction…

Apparently when the international agency flagged the issue with Iran making progress on nuclear munitions, an Iranian official basically responded by saying, “So what? We are proceeding and are safeguarding our resources in a secret hiding place.”

I’m obviously paraphrasing, but the expert on CNN basically said the international report gave Iran a heads up and time to hide their stuff, so who knows if we actually decimated the right targets?

Again: this was cnn, not some rightwing war hawk chat. And my takeaway was that intel obviously confirmed Iran had made sufficient progress to prompt concern, and the international report sounding the alarm probably gave Iran a head start to move things around. Moreover, as the expert flagged: why didn’t the NYT article gain traction? Why didn’t anyone cover this a couple weeks ago? [/quote]
