These Senate races are now national affairs.  Money floods in from all over to influence the vote and the all these senators are in your business in every state from your daughter's reproductive decisions, to trying to overture presidential election results to many other issues.   [/quote]

Yes, it would be boring. But in this instance, the point being made is that each state elects 2 senators. The registered voters in each state are the only ones who get a "say" or vote, whether others like those elected or not.[/quote]
