Gus is a professional. He is an excellent coach, treats his coaching job as a real job.  He had trained many top level players both at club level, privates, and thru STBW.   FCV should rerank their coaching staff.

He has always been more of a technical trainer as well as the Futsal Director. They do run a year round futsal program.

On top of that he has his own training company which is HIS brand, not FCV.

So perhaps he doesn't want the responsibility of a team when he can be a technical trainer for ALL the teams. He is certainly more than capable of running a team as needed and has coached teams at FCV in the past. [/quote]

The whole it’s the summer excuse is flawed as well. Spring soccer turned into summer and if he was getting paid for doing nothing in the spring, he would need to show up in the summer to continue to be paid.

Face it he is gone. Contract not renewed. Club saving money.
