The upside for him is that maybe he just likes her, and he's still a typical young 20-something in many respects, even though he's divorced with a kid, and lives on TV.  He's not going to weight the benefits/negatives of getting into a relationship with someone that he's mutually attracted to.

I can't tell if he's Briana's "type" because she's never been shown in a normal relationship.  Devoin and Luis were both "we're having a baby, should we be a couple too?"  I think Briana is sheltered and kind of dumb, but I do think if she met a good guy, she could be happy and make it work.  Her issues seems to be that she chooses losers and her family is too involved in her life.  I'm not a big Javi fan, but I think he works hard, is a good dad, is focused on family, and wants to be in a long-term monogamous relationship.  [/quote]
