What a ridiculous question. Arts magnet is the most useless magnet a school can get. Completely pointless. Only a handful arts magnet students will end up working in arts since society doesn't need hundreds of thousands art majors. In the meantime, Kennedy in that region is supposed to get real magnet (IB) but no parents in other schools will send their kids in such low performing school to attend completely unproven magnet. So it will end up being just Kennedy students, making that otherwise meaningful magnet, also pointless.

I agree 100%. An arts magnet is a total waste of our tax dollars. They build a half a billion dollar facility and now they want to house coloring book classes in it? What a freaking joke. This is terrible.

And yes, they put the IB and Math Science Engineering type magnets on the wrong side of the tracks and reverse bus kids over to those and call it "EQUITY". What a way to treat all children -- both high and low performing.
