They also brought equipment they didn't use, including freaking [b]ballistic shields[/b] to protect them if they encountered gunfire!

To be fair, a lot of the blame seems to go to the police chief who kept holding the officers back. I guess it's like the military--LEOs have to obey orders even if you don't agree with them. At the same time, I can't believe that one--just one--LEO didn't say "Screw orders!" and go in to the classroom and try to do something. [/quote]
