Lol ... by contrast, I went to see Blair Witch Project the day after I got back from 2 months of camping / backwoods travel / totally off-the-grid life, and had never heard of it. Was excited to be back in civilization (sort of - still camping, but closer to a town than I'd been in months), showed up at a theater, and picked the next movie that was starting. I honest-to-god seriously thought it was a documentary at first. Totally freaked me out.  Didn't take too long to figure it out, but by then I was already scarred.  The best part was going back to my campsite and sleeping in the woods that night. It holds the record for the most freaked out I've ever been by a movie. Can totally see how it would be a different experience if you heard the hype ahead of time, though.

Oh, I also loved Memento and Sliding Doors.  SD might might not have had the best acting or effects, but I loved the premise of how a split second can change the entire direction of your life.

My contribution, more on the "don't get the appeal" side than the "don't understand the movie" side: Eat Pray Love.  Hated that movie. Why I wasted 2 hours of my life on that narcissistic bitch is beyond me.[/quote]
