My son's school had an Italy/Greece trip - instantly full. Almost 4K each, and 30 or so families signed up overnight. If you cannot afford that, you don't go on those kinds of trips. And unless a family has an only child or a kid much older/younger than their siblings, not too many people will bring along Juniors best buddy for a family vacation. Maybe the beach house once in a while, but who is going to bring another kid to Europe or the Caribbean that is not your own or very close family. Those are 'cool rich kid' activities, but they are not things you can easily invite or foot the bill for other kids.[/quote]
