Who says a kid who doesn't "party" must come from a strict household? My high school senior has her own car, plenty of spending money, no real curfew...and enough common sense to be a responsible citizen. She's not drinking, smoking pot, having sex, etc. She's still out at least a couple of nights a week with friends and has a pretty active social life; she just doesn't need to act like an idiot to have a little fun. I guess most of you think that she's not the normal one though, but I hope you're wrong.
No one said a kid who doesent party. We are talking kids who are allowed no freedom. I was the poster who said +1 and that was me. You're daughter has her own car, money and no curfew. She is not who we are talking about. I had no car, a 9pm curfew and couldn't leave my street and wasn't allowed on the phone after 9pm. Oh, and I grew up in the midwest in a very small town. That's keeping someone on a tight leash. I went away to college and had no idea how to manage the new found freedom.
