As an education expert, I feel every child should get the best possible education, but unfortunately thee are deeply entrenched systemic issues in public education that may ale years to solve. I send my children to Beauvoir because it offers much better quality than offered at the public school we're zoned for.

They are the years in which children's attitude toward learning are developed, as well as a self-image of themselves as learners.  Get those things wrong and the damage may be very hard to reverse.

From personal experience, you are way off.  I learned to hate to school in elementary school.  My parents were great, supportive, etc.  It was the school.  I do not want that for my child.  You are way off base.  [/quote]
