[/quote] But race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status are highly correlated in Montgomery County, as you way. Maybe somewhat less so in Bethesda, where almost everybody is affluent. And racism is still a thing, as well. The financially well-off Hispanic diplomat's child will not require the same resources as an immigrant ESOL child on FARMS -- but may nonetheless be treated as equally academically incapable.[/quote]
