The parenting classes, called "Parent Management Training," are more for the parents of young toddlers -- yes, toddlers as young as 18 months being prescribed ADHD drugs.  There is evidence that the Parent Management Training approaches work, although I am not sure of any study comparing drugs only to parent management.
