Not necessarily.  Has DCPS released a list of the weapons found at the Wilson checkpoints?  The unfolding story seems to be that the student criminal simply brought the gun in through a door that was not monitored, so that suggests that the metal detectors are not effective.  And what about the knife fight yesterday?  The kid had to have had the knife on him in school.  I don't think they sell those at Whole Foods, do they?[/quote]
