IF however you have always said happy holidays but just to piss someone off (potentially) you now only say Merry Christmas then yes that is kind of crummy move. I do not think personally there is anything at all wrong with saying Merry Christmas particularly if you are like  me and were brought up to say it. I have been saying it for years and years.

I get very festive and into the season come Dec. and frankly say it to  many in  my path...normally it is always meant with a smile and either a "you too" or Merry Christmas to you as well.

I think MOST people (clearly not many of those on this thread) see it for what is, a kind way for us all regardless of religion to partake in a beautiful holiday/time of year. It is much more about the spirit than anything else.[/quote]
