You are most certainly free to practice your Christian beliefs however you wish. You just can't refuse to provide a service or accommodation to a protected class. So, if you don't want to bake a cake for a lesbian couple, photograph a mixed race wedding or rent your vacation home to a disabled veteran then you need to go and find another profession.
I'm so glad you brought up the concept of protected classes. Who determines them? Certainly, illegal immigrants are a protected class - not only do they get benefits, they don't get deported after committing crimes. Federal laws be damned! Who has to follow those? And our veterans? Not so much - see the VA Hospital crisis. Sex offenders are certainly a protected class. Even at the expense of children. How else does the Montgomery County Public School Systems defend keep a known sex offender on its teacher roll, sacrificing many children, including a five year old girl in the process? I'm sure you'll not believe me on this, so here's the link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/ex-montgomery-music-teacher-indicted-on-39-counts-of-sexual-abuse-of-girls-including-rape/2014/02/27/fa050882-9feb-11e3-a050-dc3322a94fa7_story.html You want protected classes at the expense of little children? Taxpayers? Christians? Who else do you want to sacrifice?
Let's see... No where does it state they knew the abuse was happening. He wasn't a registered sex offender until after he was prosecuted. He couldn't be fired until he is convicted of the crime. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/parents-worry-after-teachers-arrest-on-child-pornography-charge/2013/04/21/1c0b82a6-91bc-11e2-9cfd-36d6c9b5d7ad_story.html
Do you really think logic or facts will get you anywhere? In the end, you can't fix stupid.
Hilarious. Multiple parents complained about this guy. He locked himself in classroom with little girls. Kids were telling their parents things. No investigation. "Shhhh, just don't touch anyone, ok?" was essentially what was said to him by the school system. You're right - you can't fix stupid. Much better to sacrifice children in the interest of political correctness.
