There are lots of things to compare the Bible too besides the worse of popular culture - for instance modern psychology or medicine or neuroscience, etc.  Even next to supermarket magazines and cable TV the Bible doesn't aways come out ahead -- it's got some pretty racy stories of its own.[/quote]
