Or she might need a way to celebrate even if it's not all out and hopefully at that time you can reach some compromise.  Or things might be resolved and she'll have no expectation of any Christmas decoration or celebration at your house at all, since it's never been there before. Hard to say now and no point in forcing a decision.

Kudos to you again for recognizing this is her house too and looking for ways to help everyone feel comfortable.  [/quote]
