A wedding is signifying one of the most significant times of your life - you're allowed to be excited about it even if things surrounding it aren't perfect. And she's probably even more thankful that a new family is embracing her since it sounds like her family is really rigid and unwelcoming. It's possible she was floored about the engagement party and still sad about her family - the two don't have to be in conflict. Personally I hate it when people post about their drama on FB. It's better to post superficial stuff like family outings and cute pictures. You shouldn't be voicing your baggage to 300 friends and acquaintances. That's what the phone or email is for. [/quote]
