There is also a popular theory asserting that men crave power and dominance in society so that they can mate with women(by controlling wealth, people and resources). Violence may be a part of this, or it may be a byproduct.

I believe that men can be feminized on a cultural level, which would likely reduce male violence significantly. I would imagine that it could also be done through genetic modification. A world without men is fiction, but a more feminine world can reasonably be achieved provided humanity survives this century.[/quote]
