Schools should be required to provide enough off-street parking for the parents to attend events. That doesn't mean two cars per enrolled student, as schools rarely, if ever, host all-grades parent events. But some decent ratio such that the school isn't hurting the neighborhood's limited parking. And if they build that amount of parking, it also alleviates a lot of the tension over daytime use of fields. NW DC has a lot of kids who play sports, but don't host their fair share of practices and games because neighborhoods have insisted on limiting schools' abilities to rent out their fields.

They also need to pay a lot of attention to the traffic flow. The LMS campus does a poor job of working with the city to minimize the congestion. The drop off line extends multiple blocks in three directions. [/quote]
