Previous poster is asking me "is something wrong with your eyes" when I say these looking like an 80 year old's shoe. What planet am I on? I am going to beat my head into a wall. They have that weird old-person shape, weird grey lining, devoid of any style.
I’d put them in the top half of shoes posted on this thread. But there are better black strappy sandals. The soles don’t match the top. These are better: https://www.dsw.com/product/bernardo-ocana-sandal/620703 https://www.macys.com/shop/product/soul-naturalizer-solo-strappy-sandals
The top ones don’t have any back strap—they are basically flip flops and terrible for your ankles and arches. I feel like these threads are divided in two — the people who have plantar fasciitis or similar foot issues and those that don’t. For those of us in the former group, none of these sandals that you say are not ugly would work. And those of you in the latter category, if you want 5 miles a day in those sandals without arch support, you probably will end up with PF or something similar eventually. I have vionics that don’t seem available anymore but are similar to this — I can only wear sandals that have adjustable straps, really. https://www.vionicshoes.com/eureka-strappy-sandal.html?color=853
I hate straps on the back (and ankle straps); I find them very uncomfortable. I have high arches and have had PF before. PF is caused by tight muscles, not shoes.
