And it doesn’t operate around your need for a 5 day week. As long as the kids get in the required hours of instructional time I do not care. I prefer the 4 day weeks and so do a lot of parents and teachers. Your whining isn’t going to change that. Time to be a parent and deal with it.[/quote]

DP. Maybe YOU should be a parent and help your kid manage their sleep better, instead of expecting the school district to have a bunch of random days off so your kid can catch up. And don't act like there is no choice but to be overscheduled and keep up with the rat race to nowhere. There is always a choice. Parents like you are the reason college students and young adults are constantly complaining about burnout and needing mental health breaks. You are telling them they need that while also putting the pressure on them. [/quote]
