People are pushing back at OP not for praising boys (for FFS, what is wrong with you if you actually think that is true), but for all the other things that her post implies, that girls aren't helping, that girls aren't as good as boys as shoveling snow (honestly, who waste's energy arguing about this?), that boys are so persecuted these day.  If you buy into this idea that life is so hard for men right now, you need to get off social media and spend some time in the real world.

In the real world among real people, I don't see persecution of my son.  I still fear more for the safety of my daughter in the real world. Men still hold more seats in Congress, more CEO positions.  Name a position of real power in the world, and there are still more men that women.

A few years ago, men got called out for the bad behavior behind the scenes of SOME men and for sometimes being good men who do nothing when it happens.  This was a good thing.  No one is saying all behavior by all men is bad all the time-that's just insanity.    And the idea that boys need extra huge helping of praise right now and girls don't is just crazy too.

This was a really positive and uplifting thread that had nothing to do with girls until the man hating trolls showed up and started to attack.

If you read the first page, you will see this.

Any posts about girl came in response to people attacking the idea of complimenting boys and acknowledging their hard work for their communities, and a direct question asking if OP saw any girls shoveling (no, I did not)

What a crazy world we live in that people like several of the women on this thread (not you)  get so offended at a positive kind thread recognizing and thanking  young men.

It makes me wonder how those women became so toxic and sexist that they have to attack over seeing something positive written about the boys in our community.[/quote]

Girl parents are insufferable as they put down our boys, blame them for everything, have to control everything and put girls on a pedestal.   The boy hate and lack of opportunities harms our boys.  [/quote]

Except that on this thread (except for that obvious troll) it is those of you complaining about girls that are spewing the hate.  The rest of us are bothered by your disconnect from reality.  It's still a man's world.  Praise your own sons (and daughters for that matter) all you want; that's great. Stop making threads that push this false narrative that boys are the ones who suffer in this world and discriminated against. [/quote]
