We were leaning B for most of the process, but feel it is on a downward trajectory. We recognize B is widely considered to be academically "superior" but felt the downsides outweighed the upsides. We spoke to dozens of current families and recent alums across both schools and ultimately felt our DD would be happier at . This poster and the one saying "Brearley could fall a good long ways and still maintain primacy over Spence" sound bitter and almost paranoid about B slipping in status. Not to say that B isn't a great school and the right school for many families...it just shouldn't be completely inconceivable that a family might choose C or S (or any other school for that matter) over B.[/quote]
