Karoline's brother sounds like a loser and a liar, and a vindictive one at that. https://www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/2025/12/07/trump-immigration-karoline-leavitt-brother-bruna/
Michael Leavitt, 35, echoed the White House’s allegation that she had never lived with her son, in text messages last week with The Post. But in court records he filed in New Hampshire in 2015, he wrote that they shared a home and listed them at the same address. Ferreira also mentioned their shared condo in a 2014 newspaper article after Leavitt won $1 million playing fantasy football. He did not respond to questions about the discrepancy. Leavitt is a former high school star athlete, is married and helps run his family’s used-car and truck business in New Hampshire. Ferreira’s legal status had long been a point of contention in her relationship with Michael Leavitt. After they broke up, Ferreira said in court records that Michael Leavitt had in the past threatened to try to get her deported. In the text messages, Michael Leavitt denied seeking to have Ferreira deported. Ferreira says he and his father, Bob Leavitt, have in recent weeks told her sister that Ferreira should “self deport,” and try to return legally, a move her lawyers say would be disastrous: Under federal law, Ferreira would be barred from coming back to the United States for a decade. Bob Leavitt did not respond to requests for comment. Michael Leavitt is from a close-knit family with deep roots in New Hampshire. He also had legal issues: He was charged twice in New Hampshire with underage alcohol possession, resulting in a fine and then a guilty plea to a downgraded town ordinance violation. In 2009, at 19, he was found guilty of drunken driving and fined $620. In 2011, Miami Beach police arrested him for disorderly conduct, alleging that he and another man were fighting in the middle of the street, stopping traffic. The charges were dropped, court records show.

I posted the two comments below on page 2 of this thread last month and it's finally being more widely reported. I read the 2014 article about him winning the $1M, which is what immediately raised red flags in my mind. Glad WaPo pulled the court records. That 2014 article even has a picture of their baby and references Ferreira as his fiancee: "Leavitt woke up at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday he and his fiancee, Bruna Ferreira, who have an eight-month-old son, Mike Jr., started realizing what happened. Ferreira said they don’t have any big needs. “I need the lights fixed on the back of my car,” Ferreira said. “And we need a lamp for my son’s room. Other than that we don’t really need much. We have our health. We have a nice condo. We really are blessed.” I hope Ferreira continues to use her voice to destroy that garbage family's BS narrative they've been spewing to the media while she was detained. "Something smells about this entire case. And that goes all the way back to when Leavitt's brother and the mother were engaged (and had the baby). Obviously they didn't end up marrying, but I don't think everything was above board when it came to the custody situation. I get the sense she was railroaded. And now this." "Reading between the lines of this story, I absolutely think the poor mother has been put through a nightmare custody situation by the brother and then his new wife when she came into the picture. The mother and K's brother were engaged and living together with their baby. Looks like everything went downhill from there over the years. My heart goes out to the mother and I hope she isn't permanently ripped away from her son. Horrible."
