[twitter]

Why they choose Arlington which voted 79.95% for Kamala is beyond me. Do her kids go to APS with all these liberal families? I cannot imagine running into that woman at Harris Teeter.
I was genuinely surprised that they live in Arlington.
N Arlington has a decent amount of MAGA for its liberal reputation but it’s not in your face or openly broadcast. 80% to Kamala still means 1 out of 5 people voted for Trump. We know a ton of MAGA Republicans who own homes and are raising families here (and sending them to APS). I’d bet at least a handful of people you assume are Dem are actually MAGA based on the 80/20 split.
Yep, I’m one of them — North Arlington, APS, the whole package. Everyone just assumes we’re Democrats because we don’t talk politics (and honestly, we’re not that political). Not really MAGA — I leaned more toward DeSantis — but I’m not losing sleep over Trump either. Reading these posts, though, it’s pretty clear a lot of folks here are comfortably sealed inside their progressive bubble. Must be nice to afford all those luxury beliefs when you never have to deal with the fallout of your own policies.
The fallout from liberal policies? Life was pretty good a year ago. Things were on an upswing wrt equity, the environment, the stock market. Inflation was a bit high, but Biden prioritized jobs. Now people are jobless, so I'm not even sure of your point.
Yeah pretty sure that PP is not talking about the people who have to deal with the fallout from — Ice agent arresting your family members even though they are still within approved status Loss of Medicaid Your kids being shot or terrific of being shot due to lack of gun control Being told you only got your job because of DEI, like basically all the black and female military officers are being told Losing your union representation protecting you from arbitrary employer action due to federal fiat or because the NLrB is now dysfunctional Your manufacturing plant furloughing you because the cost of supplies went through the roof with arbitrary tariffs These are all things that affect ordinary working Americans. PP is the one in the bubble.
