I can at least understand if there was maybe jealousy amongst private sector workers vs feds - because hey feds would sometimes look at perks or stock options in the private sector and think “must be nice”! But either could apply for the other job.

What I don’t get is this is not some company - maybe making poor choices and people stop using them and/or they won’t come through it or whatever. This is (all of our) government. Making poor choices for running government, treating our government abusively like trash - do you want your government like that? Do you think this makes America better, or serve us all well? If you run your household with an iron fist, it’s going to come back around. I just don’t get the blanket level of absolute vitriol and hate. Makes no sense (vs. being angry or frustrated about individual instances of actual fraud or the like).[/quote]
