I am so over the meal trains in the age of available food at a moment's notice. It used to be that people would bring you a meal because it was hard to shop for and prepare dinners. Now it's like meal trains where people order you Uber Eats. I am with you--get on Uber Eats yourself. Why am I paying for this?
+1. It’s fine for people you know are struggling — I had a young 20-something relative whose spouse had cancer. They clearly did not have enough money with him off work so uber eats cards made some sense. Same with an elderly relative whose spouse passed and would not otherwise feel they could afford uber eats. But for people making good income….it just seems dumb. I would guess these couple has lots of extended family that can stock their freezer for them.
