Why aren't liberals from rich blue states banding together to create a huge fund to pay for saving these people? How do they sleep at night with their big blue state bank accounts while these people suffer?
Blue state liberals are the worst people on the planet. Huge bank accounts are not enough... They have to virtue signal inane and fake BS while hoarding cash. If they actually meant what they said they could fix all of it with sacrifice and sincerity.
I live in a blue state and have a disabled young adult. We moved from a red state 20 years ago. The education and opportunities here have been far above what our red state offered. They prioritized helping the disabled with the federal funds they received. Now all those funds are being Slashed.
I sympathize with you concerning your disabled dependent. However, DOGE probably (not sure) discovered people were abusing the system, claiming disability when it really wasn’t. You can blame those people for ruining something good. As for Red States, most of the big cities there are run by Democrats who siphon as much money into their pockets as they can. Disability money isn’t a priority for them because they can’t steal enough to make it worth their while. In the rural areas, there isn’t a lot of money to staff large bureaucracies to handle such things. I would say your issue isn’t so much Democrat vs. Republican but more urban vs. rural.
DOGE found no such thing. And it wasted a ton of money doing it. https://www.npr.org/2025/06/02/nx-s1-5417994/former-doge-engineer-shares-his-experience-working-for-the-cost-cutting-unit https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/a-look-at-the-misleading-and-incorrect-claims-on-doges-wall-of-receipts
