People in this country are so focused on the wrong values.

What I like about the US?

1. It's big enough that you can be and have and do anything you want without oversight or judgement.  You're free to be an idiot.

2. Everything is regulated. You can't do anything without jumping through hoops in an official capacity from driving, voting, buying a house, but damn it's good to have a level of safety and peace of mind to have layers of protection when you consider that we are trying to make things as legit as possible even if not always successful. A lot of other countries are less strict about consumer protections and it's more stressful for sure. [/quote]
