We had some work done last year in the house.  The owner volunteered(we had not asked) that he only hires legal residents to work for him.  This was a big plus to us.

The workers were very good, but it turns out that the one who worked the hardest was employed by one of the employees--and not by the owner of the company.  I did not realize how it worked until the end of the project.  I assume that the worker was not here legally.  But, there are lots of ways around these rules, apparently.[/quote]

Just because someone (a worker) is Latino, doesn't mean they are here illegally. What makes you think that the person in question working on your house is here illegally?[/quote]
