I grew up in an apartment.  Cleaning was a breeze because we lived minimally and I liked that.

But I really doubt you would want me as a neighbor now. I have very noisy hobbies such as woodworking. I am hammering, drilling and running my equipment whenever I have a free chance.

Apartment folks can have hobbies, but they need to be within reason.  For example, some acceptable ones might be stamp/coin collecting, puzzles (jigsaw, crossword), knitting, scrapbooking, reading (especially on a Kindle).

But musical instruments, dancing, cooking, or woodworking are not ok, if you live in an apartment community.[/quote]
