A part of what problem? DC has a balanced budget. It doesn't NEED cuts. This is DC local tax money we are talking about. Maybe you didn't know that DC residents pay federal and local DC taxes. It the DC tax money we are discussing.

Wherever you live, imagine your local tax dollars are funding your local services and the budget is balanced and rolling along just fine, then halfway through the fiscal year, Trump mandates that a billion dollars from your local government cannot be spent on your local services and schools -- not federal funds, local funds from local tax dollars -- and says you can't use your own money. That is what is happening here. (He can't take it away, btw, it's not federal money, so it going to just sit there, I guess while our trash doesn't get picked up).

These people do not understand how government works. Everything they try to do, they get wrong and make a huge mess of life.[/quote]
