Why in the world do you think I left 20 years ago?  It’s true, but I still go back and have family and friends there. It’s not like it’s had a renaissance - the people who are moving to Florida post pandemic are of similar type.

I still have lots of family and friends there and go back often, but I’m from a wealthy coastal part of Florida which generally speaking might as well be a different world from the interior of FL (minus parts of Orlando). But I know many people in Orlando and Tallahassee who are rabid maga.

UF and Gainesville is quite progressive in general, but since today’s youth are leaning right and the bias implicit in the state, that is likely changing.
