European officials are working to put together a multibillion dollar package aimed at boosting collective security in the region and supporting Ukraine in what will be the largest of its kind so far, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said over the weekend. … Speaking to Bloomberg on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany, which ran from February 14 to 16, Baerbock said the huge defense package "has never been seen in this dimension before." German daily newspaper Berliner Zeitung reported that Baerbock said the package could be worth some 700 billion euros ($732 billion); however, that figure wasn't in the Bloomberg article cited by the publication at the time of writing.
https://www.newsweek.com/europe-defense-package-700-billion-ukraine-boost-2032541
If the US is pulling out, then Germany will have to go nuclear. And then Poland. And then... I wish Trump weren't moron who has now decided to surround himself with morons.
Sweden was warning of war.
And it will happen sooner rather than later, because Russian will want to invade before Europe has a chance to arm itself.
Russia has its hands full in the Ukraine. Even with the US abandoning Europe Russia will have a hard time invading these countries. Russia has made 12 top line fighters in the last 4 years and is unable to build tanks. The birth rate is crashing, people are migrating from the rural areas, high alcoholism, education system crashed and the infrastructure is crumbling. Huge areas of Russia are now depopulated. 20% of the farm land produce 85% of the food but those farms rely on western tech, equipment and expertise to function. They do not have enough skilled and educated people to maintain the country infrastructure specially in the remote places. They are having a very hard time actually getting oil out of the ground. Russia has a GDP of Italy but the vast majority of that is oil, gas and other resources. It’s on its way to a break up in the next 10-20 years. Though Trump and his followers think Russia is a great power. Great powers do not rely on Iran for technology, China for ammunition and North Korea for soldiers. The human wave approach of war that the Russians have adapted is exasperating their birth rate problems. I do not understand why we are surrendering to Russia. It is just bizarre.
