The person closing it has a reason. You may not know the reason, but in their judgment, there is some reason to close it. Don’t overthink it.[/quote]

-Can’t see the TV screen because of glare

-Looking at the vast horizon triggers a panic attack (yes, this has happened to me and it was awful).

I agree that the window shade belongs to the window seat (but it is rude to close it for the final few min of landing , because people should be able to know when touchdown is imminent) but if seeing the vast horizon triggers a panic attack, don’t book the window sear[/quote]
