How?  Forecasts were showing 4-8".  My map from The Weather Channel showed it started showing at 9am (which we all know wasn't right).  So the forecasts were incorrect.  The gamble is "will it stick to the roads?" which is really hard to predict when it's a borderline 32 degrees.  They got lucky, truly.  [/quote]

+1 I also didn't see any forecasts saying 4-8 inches of snow falling this afternoon. That was a total for the whole event that has since been downgraded. They all said small amounts of accumulation this afternoon and that's not accounting for how much won't stick on roads when the temp is above freezing.[/quote]
