It isn't just the tariffs, it is the TRAVEL BAN that is going to motivate rich Colombians to put pressure on their government to accept flights back. Wealthy Colombians or Brazilians not being able to fly to Orlando to visit Disneyworld, go shopping in LA or NYC is actually is a serious threat. A lot of wealthy Colombians and Brazilians have condos in Florida. Real estate reports from 2023 shows that Colombian and Argentine businessmen have been the main buyers of homes in Miami, representing 15% and 14% of total purchases, respectively. Followed by Brazilians with 7% of purchases, Venezuelans (5%) and Mexicans with the same percentage of real estate purchases.[/quote]
